With the New 2012 NFL Schedule Released, The Jets have to Start the Season Guns Blazing

On Tuesday, the NFL released the schedule for the 2012 season for all teams. Looking at the schedule you will realize that the New York Jets will face their hardest opponents in the first half of the season including their AFC division rivals as well. Not only will the Jets face the Bills, Dolphins, and pats; They will also have to see the likes of the 49ers, Texans, and Steelers. There is no doubt the Jets will have their hands filled with these opponents. With that being said, the Jets will definitely need to come out the gates swinging, especially against their division opponents. Let’s breakdown each week to address the concerns, predictions, and keys to winning this season that the Jets must address. Please keep in mind this is based on current team rosters and future injuries that can affect the outcome and predictions. Continue reading

Who Will the New York Jets Pickup To Replace Plax?

Plaxico Burress replacement Jets

Plaxico Burress has made it clear that he has aspirations of playing for the Philadelphia Eagles next season. Surprised? Not me. With all the off field problems and Mark Sanchez’s throwing problems, Plax wants out of New York altogether. Guess with going to the Jets and now wanting to go to the Eagles, I think he is on a mission to irritate as many Giants fans as possible.

Curtis Martin Puts The Class In This Year’s Hall Of Fame Class

14,101 career rushing yards, 4th on all-time rushing list, 10 consecutive years of rushing for a 1000 yards or more, 100 total career touchdown’s, 5 time pro bowler, 1995 offensive rookie of the year, 1995 AFC leading rusher, New York Jets all-time leading rusher,  and the oldest individual to win a rushing title at age of 31 in 2004…….I’d say those are more than enough reasons for Curtis Martin to be elected into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame. For the second straight year Curtis Martin has been nominated into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame along with other nominees such as Tim Brown, Cris Carter, The “Bus” himself Jerome Bettis, and Bill Parcels to name a few.

Jets Have a Thing for Pretty Boy Quarterbacks

It was announced last week that the New York Jets might have interest in former Denver Broncos backup quarterback Brady Quinn to possibly compete with Mark Sanchez for the starting quarterback role for next year. I don’t know, maybe it’s me, but of all the quarterbacks to be interested in why Quinn? Sure he had a good preseason this past year, but still ended up as the third string this season before Kyle Orton was let go. In reality he should’ve been backup to Orton instead of Tim Tebow but that’s another topic of discussion altogether. Continue reading

Will Tony Sparano be the Missing Key That Will Answer the Jets Offensive Woes?

Ladies and gentlemen, your wish has been granted…or has it? After six years as the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets, Brian Schottenheimer and the New York Jets have decided to part ways. This has to come to no shock to the football committee. Sure Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum mentioned last week that Schotty would return next year as the offensive coordinator, but truth is they could not tell the media that they were praying the Schotty would be hired as the Jacksonville Jaguars new head coach so that they would be able to start the search for a new offensive coordinator… Continue reading

No More Beating Around The Bush, A Decision Must Be Made In This Mark Sanchez Nightmare

Fans, media, and now own teammates. Can Mark Sanchez catch a break? Does he deserve a break? It all depends on who you ask. Sure, Rex proclaims to the media that Sanchez will remain QB for Gang Green, but do you honestly believe him? I love Rex just as much as the next Jets fan, but you know he’s full of crap (something not new for Rex and Jets haters). Rex knows that Mark Sanchez cannot be trusted as leader at the helm. Heck we all know that is the case, but the Jets front office can’t justify benching their expensive “Sanchize” golden boy.
